Carealth Services LTD is a non-medical care and wellness agency that seeks to assist with the challenges of looking after an elderly or sick family member. We aim to relieve some of the pressures and stresses many families feel when faced with having to care for an elderly Mum or Dad or sick family as well as coping with their own family pressures such as work.
“Caregiving is the activity or profession of regularly looking after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person.” At one point in each and everyone’s life, we will have or have provided care whether for a young child, spouse, sick relative or elderly parent.
Wellness is a state beyond absence of illness but rather aims to optimize well-being. The Global Wellness Institute defines wellness as “the active pursuit of activities, choices and lifestyles that lead to a state of holistic well-being.”
This company idea was born in July 2009 after the founder/Director lost his elderly father to a long-term illness. Nursing his father coupled with part-time elderly care work experience, while studying for his degrees in the United Kingdom brought this idea to life.
However, it was almost 12 years later, in April 2021, when he finally decided to implement his idea. The reason that finally gave him a push to start the Carealth Services Home Care Agency, was when his mother had a pacemaker fitted at 82 years old and needed full-time care after her operation. The family looked for a caregiver to help alongside the family members. They eventually found a very good caregiver through word of mouth. This turned out to be the best thing for his mother as it sparked a quick and successful recovery. The caregiver’s significant input in aiding his mother’s quick recovery and maintenance of her general well being led the founder Edward to ask the caregiver if there was a need for this kind of service and the possibility of starting up a home care agency. On 15th October 2021 Carealth Services was born and incorporated with limited liability in Uganda.
