Understanding your care needs

Who needs care? Is it your mum, dad, or another guardian?
We tailor every care plan around the specific person receiving care: a parent, grandparent, or any guardian or relative. During your free consultation we ask a few questions about them so we can match the right carer.
What type of care do you need: medical, non-medical, or both?
Non-medical care covers companionship, hygiene, meals, mobility support, and errands. Medical/nursing care is delivered by a registered nurse and can include wound care, medication administration, and monitoring vital signs. Many families start with one and add the other as needs change; we can arrange either, or both together.
Where does the client stay?
We currently serve Kampala and the greater metropolitan area, including Wakiso, Entebbe, and Mukono, as well as the Western Region, including Mbarara. Let us know the specific area so we can confirm carer availability and travel arrangements.
What type of care package do you need: companion care, skilled nursing, or something in between?
We offer a range of packages, from companion care (company, light housekeeping, errands, and emotional support) through to skilled nursing for more complex medical needs. We'll help you choose the right package for the person's daily routine and health needs during your consultation.
What is the client's medical condition?
Knowing the diagnosis, mobility level, and any medications helps us match a carer with the right training and experience for conditions like dementia, stroke recovery, diabetes, or post-surgical recovery. This is discussed confidentially during your consultation.

Planning your care plan

What care schedule do you need: live-in, day shift/night shift, or a few hours daily?
We offer flexible scheduling: a few hours a day, day-shift or night-shift coverage, or full live-in care. Let us know what fits your family's routine and we'll match availability accordingly.
What happens during the client assessment?
Before a carer is placed, we carry out a short assessment of the client's needs, home environment, and daily routine, either in person or over a call, to make sure the care plan and carer are the right fit from day one.
What is the client's budget for the month?
Costs vary by hours needed and whether nursing skills are required. Sharing a monthly budget upfront helps us recommend a realistic care package. See our Pricing guide for rough ranges, or request a free written quote.
